Get ready for Water Week by doing the "Water Fun Fact" quest. To participate, pick up a Water Week Passport on April 15 at the Humboldt Green table at the Arcata Famers Market or the City of Arcata table at Cannifest at Redwood Acres.
Participating Downtown Businesses
You can also pick up a passport anytime until May 13 at the Environmental Services Department at City Hall or at these Arcata businesses:
The Garden Gate
Hits and Kicks
Caravan of Dreams
Northcoast Horticulture Supply
Moore's Sleep World
Global Village Gallery
Look for the Water Fun Fact poster at each participating Arcata business and learn about rainwater harvesting, water conservation, irrigation, sea level rise, drinking water, what goes down your drains, and many other topics. To earn a stamp, read the poster, go to the cashier and answer a water fun fact question. There are 16 Water Fun Facts in all.
Additional stamps can also be earned by visiting the Water Week Famers Market table on Saturday, May 13. Passports can be turned in at the Farmers Market Water Week table on May 13 or the Environmental Services Department at Arcata City Hall. Prizes will be awarded based on the number of stamps gathered.
