    Visit the Arcata Plaza Farmers' Market to purchase the freshest Humboldt-County-grown and GMO-free produce along with plants, meats and other wonderful locally-grown or made products. This market also features the very best bands of Humboldt County! Market attendees will enjoy live music every week from 10:30 am-1:30 pm from April to Thanksgiving. Plus, visit the North Coast Growers' Association information booth for educational materials, recipes and garden growing guides. Please leave your 4-legged friends at home because multiple State, County and Municipal regulations prohibit pets at Certified Farmers' Markets and food facilities. Please also note that smoking of any kind or unauthorized vending is not permitted.

This free tour takes place rain or shine! This tour is open to all-ages and reservations are not required. Participants are instructed to meet in the parking lot at the end of South I Street near Klopp Lake at 8:30 am.

  2. Arcata Marsh Volunteer Clean-Up Day

    Humboldt Pet Supply and Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) host this monthly event to help reduce our community's environmental paw print by cleaning up abandoned pet waste and garbage left behind at the Arcata Marsh! This free event is open to volunteers of all ages. Participants are asked to meet at 9:30 am at the South G Street parking lot, located near the Interpretive Center for coffee and doughnuts! Volunteers are encouraged to wear a long-sleeved shirt, pants and boots and to bring water. Clean-up supplies and materials, coffee, doughnuts and snacks will be provided For more information, please call Humboldt Pet Supply at 707-633-6216.

    Humboldt County Office of Education is proud to partner with Humboldt State University, College of the Redwoods, the City of Arcata and the Humboldt Area Foundation to present a countywide Equity Summit. Community members, business owners, TK-12 educators and higher education professionals are invited to attend. Summit attendees will have the opportunity to engage with community members and discuss topics including racial equity, social justice in education, local tribal perspectives, implicit bias, homelessness, special education inclusion, LGBTQ, microaggressions and supporting immigrant families.
